Children in Need 2021

Today, our staff and pupils came to school dressed down for non-uniform day in support of Children in Need. Everyone was wearing their own style and looked fantastic!

It was a good opportunity for everyone to be themselves reflecting on our learning on Anti-Bullying week with the theme of ‘One Kind Word’.

Pupils took part in an assembly where they learnt about the charity and where the donations go to a variety of projects across the UK.  It was a good reminder to reflect on those who are less fortunate than ourselves and how we can make a difference in other people’s lives being charitable and respectful.

There was also an opportunity to raise more money where pupils bought cakes at breaktime made by our School Parliament and lots of other donations.

The vision of the charity is that every young person in the UK grows up in an environment and has the right to a childhood which is:

•safe

•happy and secure

•allows them to reach their potential

A reminder that tomorrow evening Children in Need will be showing on BBC with lots of shows and celebrities doing lots of funny and exciting things!

Today we were all able to support this worthy cause in helping many young people across the UK making a difference to their lives.

Our initial total shows we have raised £487 today!  Thank you to all.
