Yr6 visit the Imperial War Museum
During November...
each class in Year 6 attended the Imperial War Museum in London, linking to our history topic of World War II. When we arrived, we were amazed at the incredible display of poppies outside the museum. During the day, Simmonds class were given a tour by a historian who helped us analyse Anderson and Morris shelters, encouraging us to question why they were used during World War II. Daley class especially enjoyed listening to the many stories of war during the Family and Wartime section. Ennis class researched the Battle of Passchendaele for their newspaper articles. A fantastic day was had by all! Many thanks to the parents that came on the trip and supported the children.
