Year 5 visit to British Museum

A day at the Museum

Year 5 went on an exciting and informative trip to the British Museum as part of their Ancient Greece history and geography work. Whilst there, they had the opportunity to see real life Ancient Greek artefacts including Greek coins, Spartan soldiers armour, theatre masks, sculptures of Greek Gods and carvings from the Parthenon. Saja shared, "I really liked exploring room 69 where there were artefacts such as pottery and coins. You could see where they had aged over time which wasreally interesting."

They also had the opportunity to explore the Ancient Egyptian area in preparation for next half terms topics, Michael said,"My favourite part was seeing all of the real life mummys that had been preserved, we even had a member of staff show us
bones."
